The Porsche Design Tower will rise in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida as part of a $560 million project between Porsche Design Group and successful local developer, Gil Dezer.
The 57- story tower will have ultra-large residences - from 3800 to 9500 sqf - with the ocean-facing units including a private pool. Each of the 132 residences will have modern set ups, tailored to owners' criteria and specifications and prices are expected to be up to $9 million per unit.
What is really special about this project? Glass elevators for your car straight to your apartment!
Porsche Design Tower is the world’s first condominium complex with elevators that will take residents directly to their private residences while they are sitting in their cars. ‘You don’t have to leave your car until you are in front of your apartment,’ Juergen Gessler, CEO of Porsche Design Group, told the Miami Herald.
Here is how it will work: After the resident pulls over and switches off the engine, a robotic arm that works like an automatic plank will scoop up the car and put it into the elevator. Once you reach your desired floor, the same robotic arm will park the car, leaving the resident in front of their front door. The glass elevators will give these lucky residents unparalleled views of the city or of the ocean during their high-speed ride, expected to last 45 to 90 seconds, reports the Miami Herald.
A few more unique features are:
- Oceanfront terrace will include private pool and summer kitchen
- Large open floorplans will include fireplaces
- Select residences will include 2 story floorplans
